Quaternized Keratin
Mackpro® KLP is a quaternary compound in which lipids that are similar to natural sebum are chemically grafted to the protein keratin. The compound is very substantive for hair due to its cationic charge. Mackpro® KLP works by replacing natural oils and proteins lost in shampoo and provides conditioning without an "oily" feel. In addition, Mackpro® KLP is more absorbent for damaged hair providing a uniform conditioning effect by coating the portions that need it most.
