We are looking for a motivated Inside Sales Account Manager to join our Pharma Ingredients team!
You will be responsible for building Univar Solutions business partnerships and growing the portfolio of products and services provided to existing customers. This position will require effective territory management and business planning capabilities to implement strategies and increase sales performance within the assigned geography. This position requires a driven self-starter attitude and the ability to work autonomously. All the work is done virtually over the phone, WebEx, or video chat.
What you’ll do
- Improve and expand Univar Solutions' position within assigned accounts using a consultative and in-depth selling approach within the account.
- Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities.
- Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer.
- Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintaining and coordinating customer quotations.
- Work cross-functionally with Purchasing and Operations to ensure inventory levels.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve financial goals and objectives.
- Document all account activity in Salesforce/SAP.
- Verifying incoming orders, sending confirmations and checking the best delivery date. Follow-up order list.
- Solving payment issues linked to incorrect invoices (debit- and credit notes).
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a Sales Position or in order administration and first-line customer support.
- Experience with Pharma ingredients (raw chemicals) is a plus.
- Experience negotiating and closing large opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the business. A solution-oriented attitude.
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal, listening, presentation) accurately.
- Sophisticated use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com or SAP.
- You are proficient in German and English. French knowledge is nice to have.
Where you’ll work
This is a hybrid opportunity. Covered territory includes: Nothern Switzerland and South Germany. Preference for candidates located in the Zürich area.
