Overall responsibility for the site and operations. Maintains receiving and dispatch of packed & bulk chemicals, added-value bulk operations (bulk storage, blending, filling, production etc), warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

His/her responsibility includes & to be key driver on annual budget proposal and costs and efficiency optimisation following the logic of continuous process improvement, CAPEX definition and implementation, management of productive and logistic flow, optimisation of the stock levels and quality in collaboration with supply chain team, management of non-compliance actions and implementation of corrective actions, management of KPIs concerned, legal responsibility for the site.

He/she is also responsible for implementation of safety, environment, quality and sustainability standards in collaboration with EHSQ department and all the activities related to national regulation and company internal standards.

Key measures

  • The achievement of agreed operating costs, targets and improvement plans.
  • To ensure of the customer orders (include bulk/tank farm operations) are completed and dispatched on time in full.
  • To ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • The level of success in meeting customer’s needs.
  • The achievement of productivity and efficiency of the site.
  • The effective training and development of staff to fully realise their potential.
  • Compliance to all Company procedures and legislative requirements includes EHSQ standards.
  • The achievement of zero accidents associated with Health and Safety issues.
  • To ensure all equipment & machines are in good order, maintained and inspected timely manner according to legal and company and/or business standards
  • The achievement of capex projects is planned, performed, implemented at the site timely manner.

Main tasks:

  • To keep the site proper, maintained, productive, efficient, and legal.
  • To review performance against agreed objectives.
  • To ensure the customer orders are prepared and dispatched to the customer in daily basis.
  • To ensure the bulk/tank farm operations are completed and dispatched to the customer according to bulk operation plan at site level.
  • To report and explain variances to budget.
  • To add value to the business
  • To recommend the ways in which the company can improve profitability and operating effectiveness.
  • To ensure effective control of costs
  • To perform stock counting at site level and review performance with taking necessary actions to improve
  • To recruit and select suitable staff
  • To ensure that new personnel receive appropriate induction training
  • To regularly, review staff performance against agreed objectives.
  • On an ongoing basis to identify and implement staff training requirements
  • The ongoing development of customer service.
  • To investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformities related with the site.
  • To communicate effectively between line and functional management to other General/ Business management lateral, up and down management lines
  • To ensure that the requirements of the site’s key customers and businesses are met
  • Through leadership and active involvement ensure compliance to: Statutory requirements, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) & Quality procedures, Responsible care, Insurance requirements, and Company policy statements including employment and disciplinary procedures
  • Co-operate on all matters concerned with Health, Safety, Training, Legislation and the Environment
  • To report accidents, incidents and near misses to the relevant departments timely manner.
  • Comply with safety notices.
  • To maintain the security of the site.
  • To ensure staff and themselves are always of smart appearance.
  • To ensure good housekeeping practices are observed.
  • Coordinating the process planning of the site according to business and market needs.
  • Handling definition and implementation of Operations KPIs and their internal communication.
  • Defining with Finance and EHSQ & Operation Manager annual budget for Operations and tracking costs evolution proposing optimization actions.
  • Managing maintenance and implementation of safety standards: risks evaluation, planning of periodical meetings, collaboration with all related stakeholders.
  • Cooperating with Inventory and Procurement/Sales areas for stock levels and the management of products rotation.
  • Cooperating with EHSQ function for new product introduction and change management processes; as well as to manage the maintenance of ISO 9001, 45000 and 14001 standard requirements on the site
  • Applying and Improving company’s procedures for his/her area of responsibility.
  • Coordinating a team of around over 10 people
  • Proposing and implementing programs for personal growth.
  • Proposing and carrying out continuous improvement strategies for the area of responsibility in cooperation with all stakeholders and the EHSQ & Operation Manager.
  • CAPEX definitions and implementation including technical support.
  • Implement locally the EMEA strategies with EHSQ & Operation Manager.

Profile:

Our top candidate has:

  • Technical background (Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Logistics, Business etc).
  • A previous experience in plants engineering and maintenance will be much appreciated.
  • Business skills: strong leadership, analytic, negotiating, financial insight, sensitive, communication.
  • Familiarity with chemical environment and related processes
  • Lean production/value stream mapping/process management knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, people management and performance driven attitude
  • Extremely structured and focused on execution, growth and development
  • Used to matrix and multinational environment
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytic and process skills.
  • Strong in personal relationships and People management
  • Positive attitude to implementing changes.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, work for priorities and management of relevant workload.
  • New ideas developing skill (thinking out of the box);
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
  • Teamwork skills within inter-functional teams.
  • Strong motivation, flexibility, curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Mikro ERP and/or SAP knowledge is a plus;
